Sharing our abundance with families in need of assistance during the Christmas season extends the spirit of giving to others, within and beyond our parish. Donations of gifts, time, and money have made it possible for St. John’s to provide a true “Christmas presence” each year to more than 400 children in our own parish, as well as St. Patrick in Lowell, St. Patrick in Brockton, St. Katharine Drexel in Roxbury, and Julie’s Family Learning Program in South Boston.
THIS YEAR, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, WE HAVE INTRODUCED CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM TO INCREASE THE SAFETY OF ALL PARTICIPANTS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AS WE NAVIGATE THESE CHALLENGING TIMES WHEN THE FAMILY NEEDS ARE EVER GREATER.
SPONSOR A CHILD OR CHILDREN
For each child you are asked to provide:
- A $50 gift card for clothing and necessities
- A special gift (the family may request a $25 gift card in lieu of the special gift)
Sponsorship is typically $75 - $100 depending on the age of the child. Contactless gift drop-off will take place in early December. Please sign up below as soon as possible or by Sunday, November 15 at the latest. (We ask you to include your email address when you sign up as this is how we will contact you with your volunteer assignments and how we will acknowledge your participation. Your contact information is for the exclusive purpose of the Christmas Wish Program and will not be shared.)
MAKE A FINANCIAL DONATION TO THE PROGRAM
Your financial contributions are used to purchase food cards for families and gifts and gift cards for children who have not been matched with sponsors.
