The Bucks County Opportunity Council, in partnership with Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, presents a Poverty Simulation
The Poverty Simulation is designed to help participants understand what it might be like to live in a low-income family trying to move beyond survival and achieve sustainable economic self-sufficiency. Participants will role-play a person living in poverty for four abbreviated weeks (15 minutes each). The simulation will be followed by a debrief and discussion of the experience, and includes an overview of the Bucks County Opportunity Council’s approach to helping people move beyond poverty.
When: Thursday, August 15th, 2019. Doors open at 9:30, Event from 10AM- 12 PM;
Where: Gallagher Room, located in the Rollins Center, at the Bucks County Community College,
Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Rd, Newtown, PA 18940

This event is FREE and open to anyone in the community who is interested in learning more about poverty; Participants must be age sixteen or older. Online Registration is REQUIRED. Space is limited.
