General rep requirements: Please prepare a 2-minute excerpt from any Puccini aria OR an aria representative of these elements. If you do not have an aria, an excerpt from a lyric/full voiced/“legit” musical theater piece may be performed. For those singing in a foreign language, please also prepare a 2-minute excerpt from an aria, art song or musical theatre piece in English, so we can hear your diction. English diction is an important consideration in our productions.
For the role of Rinuccio, please prepare this excerpt as your English piece. *
For the role of Lauretta, please prepare this excerpt as your English piece. *
* May be on-book
The list of roles for both operas can be found on this link.
Olga Rogach will be our accompanist at auditions.
In cases of equal talent, performers with a history at GWO, and/or performers in the Central and Western MA area will be given preference in casting. However, we encourage all interested parties to audition.
Please download an audition form here. Please bring three (3) copies of your one-page resume to the auditions, in addition to your completed audition form.
