Alaska Seeds of Change
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with our youth staff! We kindly ask that you sign up for a timeslot on the days you would like to volunteer with at least 24 hours notice. We are accepting walk in volunteers as well, but it helps our team prepare when you register here! We are accepting up to 15 volunteers on a first come first serve basis.
You will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing at all times, including upon arrival to the garden. We can provide you with a mask if necessary.
The garden is located at 2508 Blueberry Road, on the south east corner of the lot (off of 27th). Our first day will be May 25th, and we will wrap up on the 17th of August (we may be able to extend into the school year. We will let you know as we have more information.)
You will be required to self-screen before coming to work at the greenhouse each day. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Have you (or someone in your household) traveled out of the state within the last 14 days? If so, did your/their required PCR test come back positive OR did you/they elect for the 14-day quarantine?
- Are you (or someone in your household) exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 (fever over 100.3 degrees, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, fatigue, sore throat, loss of taste/smell)?
*If you have answered "yes" to either of the questions, we kindly ask you not to stay.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours notice, we ask that you kindly email our Volunteer Coordinator Christine Willock at [email protected]
Thank you for continous support for our youth at Alaska Seeds of Change!
