GALLERY TALK with Mastering Alchemy Artist Stephen BruceSATURDAY, MAY 21 FREE ADMISSION (Suggested donation: $10) Click here to support the museum with a donation Using a centuries-old metal patination process, artist and educator STEPHEN BRUCE conjures earth-toned abstract landscapes, swirling seascapes, and majestic geological formations with everyday liquids like pickle juice and vinegar. During his Gallery Talk, he will share insights and stories about his process and his inspirations. A highlight of the talk will be a display of copper artwork by students of Grace A. Dunn Middle School in Trenton. Stephen Bruce funds his hands-on student workshops through his organization the Skidmore Project. The Skidmore Project provides materials at no cost and encourages students to learn how to notice and acknowledge their own creative spirit. As they work, students observe how science and art are accessible, useful, and connected. Date: 04/30/2022 (Sat.) Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm EDT Location: Trenton City Museum at Ellarlslie Mansion
