Rotary Club of Annapolis

NAVY Football game concession stands

The Rotary Club of Annapolis has been invited to raise funds, provide a valued service to the USNA and increase RCA awareness and camaraderie by operating a busy Food Concession Stand at 2022 Navy stadium events. It’s fun and easy and very profitable BUT we need lots of volunteers! (15-18 volunteers).  SIGN-UP BELOW!

Specifics about the football games concession stands is as follows:

  • Volunteers need to arrive 3 1/2 hours before kickoff as the Gates Open 2 hours before kickoff and we must be ready to serve by then. We finish 3 to 4 hours after kickoff.  by about 5:00/5:30pm.  The time commitment for a 3:30 kick-off is 12:30 - 6:30.  NOON kick-off is 9-3.  The 6 hour time commitment can be shared if necessary but both names should be added as 1 volunteer slot.  Shifts should be noted in the Comments and 2nd shift needs to be there 30 minutes before kick-off time for overlap.
  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years old as beer is now being sold. Spouses/partners, friends and adult children are welcome. All Service areas are welcome for any game.
  • Preliminary Job “assignments” will be made in advance and can be adjusted as needed. Descriptions are attached. If you have skills relevant to a particular “job” please let Lane Chair know.
  • Stadium Entry- Wrist bands will be provided in advance.
  • Parking/Shuttle- Parking passes are NOT provided. There is free parking and a free shuttle at the Harry S Truman Park and Ride, located on Harry S Truman Parkway just off Riva Road. Shuttle service begins five (5) hours prior to the start of the game (or 10:30am) ending approximately two (2) hours after each game's completion (or approx. 8pm). The shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes, and drops off and picks up at the Navy Ticket Office at the Class of 1953 Pavilion which is close to Gates C/D. There is some street parking available early and there is private parking for a fee.
  • We will be operating Stand 1 which is right inside Gate C/D – Navy side under where the Midshipmen sit. Enter at Gate C/D.
  • Food and drink vouchers are provided for select items.
  • Personal items should be minimized and brought in a clear bag if possible. Sorry but there is no room for chairs.
  • Wear Rotary gear where possible and closed toed shoes.
  • Come ready for a long day and a lot of work but know it is very rewarding and meets the Rotary 4 way test including: “Is it Fun!”
