Thank you all for volunteering your time for BINGO night at Dolvin Elementary School. This event is a fun evening for the children and a great fundraiser for the Dolvin PTA. It would not be possible without your help, so we are very appreciative.
BINGO night is Friday, November 2nd. There will be two sessions. Session One is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Session Two is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive at the indicated time. This will give us plenty of time to set up and go over your responsibilities for the evening.
Special instructions for STUDENT VOLUNTEERS:
Dolvin is located at 10495 Jones Bridge Road, Johns Creek, 30022. It is at the intersection of Jones Bridge and Buice Roads. You should use the Jones Bridge Road entrance. Enter through the front doors and tell the PTA volunteers that you are a student volunteer. Ask for Erin Berutti, Kelly White, or Sandra Guggenheim. The event will be in the cafeteria, which is just off the main entrance. It will not be difficult to find us!
There are several jobs available. We will need help with tickets, food, drinks, prizes, winning card verification, and selection of BINGO numbers. We may need to re-assign specific jobs when you arrive based on how many volunteers we have, but sign up for the job you prefer. We won't be able to guarantee that job, but will try to accommodate your requests. We want this to be fun for you as well!
If you sign up for a friend, please include their name and email address so that we can prepare name tags before the event. Please note that some volunteer positions are for adults only. Make sure you sign up for the appropriate positions.
We expect you to provide your own transportation and to arrive on time with a positive attitude and dressed in attire that is appropriate for school. We expect you to assist with set up before the event starts, which may mean that you might be asked to help with a number of tasks that are not specifically related to the task you signed up for the evening. This could mean putting up decorations, setting up chairs, opening cases of drinks, etc. So, please be flexible and willing to help out!
Before the event starts, we will go over specifics for your assigned task. We will expect you to remain at your post until the end of the session. If you need to leave for any reason, please make sure that your post is covered and that an adult knows that you are leaving. There will be adult volunteers as well.
At the end of the session, we will expect you to help with clean up and to leave your station neat and orderly. If you have someone picking you up, please ask them to arrive promptly, especially if you are working the second session.
