Operation: Fresh Produce Drop
Join Eat Greater Des Moines by volunteering for Operation: Fresh Produce Drop! This initiative helps connect fresh foods to our community partners including non-profits, community groups, churches, schools, affordable housing communities, and more! Volunteers will help unload and load boxes of assorted produce and dairy products into the vehicles of our partners using a drive-thru method. *Must be able to lift 30lbs. Thanks to Des Moines Public Schools, Operation Fresh Produce Drop will take place inside their Operations Warehouse.

Due to the current pandemic, we require everyone to wear a mask. If you do not have one, we will have one provided to you upon your arrival. If you or anyone in your household has experienced any of the symptoms below in the past 48 hours, we ask that you do not sign-up to volunteer to keep our staff, volunteers, and recipients safe. Upon arrival, your temperature will be taken using our infrared thermometer. If your temperature exceeds 100 F, you will be asked to go home. Symptoms include:

- Sore throat
- Cough
- Headache and/or body aches
- Nausea and/or vomiting

Your help will make sure that our community members in need get access to fresh foods. If you have any questions, please contact Aubrey Alvarez with Eat Greater Des Moines, by phone at (515) 207-8908 ext. 1 or by email [email protected]
