Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis is renting and furnishing apartments to be used this year as emergency homeless shelters for families until they can find permanent housing. They are using this new model while congregations are closed and can't host families as usual in their Interfaith Hospitality Network program.
Can you support this effort by buying or donating a new or gently used item on this needs list? Our goal is to have all the items by September 15. Ther faster the better, though, because some units might be under lease as soon as September 1 if we can have the items ready! Just sign your name up next to an item(s), then go buy it, order it, or find it used. Using this list avoids duplicate purchases of the same item.

Thank you!
Please do not buy expensive items, but only affordable ones, as Family Promise will be replacing them frequently due to the high level of use the items will get.
When all items are collected, we will move them into a vacant apartment using Family Promise's trailer as soon as a lease is signed.
Furniture is being collected separately by Family Promise's partner Mustard Seed, a nonprofit furniture bank in Fishers, IN. If you have gently used furniture to donate, call them at 317-572-5724 (they pick up). It may find it's way to one of the apartment shelters eventually!
Thank you for your support, as we could not do this without you!
