WHEN YOU SIGN UP, THE ZOOM WEBINAR LINK WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU 12 HOURS BEFORE THE START OF THE CLASS. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM HEATHER TOWNSEND WITH YOUR ZOOM LOGON INFORMATION.

In partnership with the More Moms for Babies campagin, we are offering complementary webinars to you and your team to make sure everyone is in compliance with TJC requirements that went into effect on January 1, 2021 and is ready to implement evidence-based measures that have shown to cut mortality and morbidity by as much as half as we dive into the U.S. Surgeon General's Call to Action to Improve Maternal Health throughout our three-part webinar series

"The dealth of a woman from pregnancy-related causes is one of the greatest tragedies that can befall a family and a community," wrote Surgeon General Jerome M. Adams, MD, MPH, Vice Admiral, U.S. Public Health Service in a foreward of the Call to Action. Adams went on to state that time has shown that adoption of best practices in the home, community, clinic and hospital has led to better outcomes for women and infants.

This program focuses on the WHY! Why all hospitals should start/improve their multidisciplinary In-Situ Simulation OB training program, why department leaders need Executive Leadership’s Support to start/improve, and why a simulation program will decrease liability risks and improve patient hand-offs and clinician workflow. We will then turn our attention to planning, logistics, equipment and designing scenarios for your simulation program and we will discuss the three major components of In-Situ Simulation: Briefing, Facilitating and Debriefing. Throughout the webinar you will hear from a survivor and a well-known physician who specializes in OB simulations and has trained over 500,000 clinicians in OB simulation in his lifetime. We will have an interactive game, and stories throughout and promise you will walk away with lots of knowledge to turn your simulation program into something tremendous! This is an opportunity for action and we are here to partner with you!

This program has been approved by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), for 1.00 CERPs, Synergy CERP Category A, File Number 23082. Approval refers to recognition of continuing education only and does not imply AACN approval or endorsement of the content of this educational activity, or the products mentioned.
