Metrolina Theatre Association
Want to find more funding so you can do more art? Want to write successful grants but just aren’t sure where to start or what funders want to hear? Want to ask people for money so that they give it to you joyfully?
The Metrolina Theatre Association will be hosting a virtual workshop on April 24th for anyone looking to develop this skillset. This workshop outlines the basics for fundraising and grant writing for the independent artist in Charlotte, NC region. We’ll answer questions like:
-Do I need to become a 501(c)(3)?
-What’s a fiscal agent?
-Where do I go to find grants?
-How do I talk to donors?
-How can I develop a 'case for support'?
-What can make my crowd-sourced fundraising campaign stand out from the rest?
This workshop is hosted by Anne Lambert, an experienced fundraising and non-profit professional with more than 25 years as a Director of Development and grant writer for non-profit and arts and culture organizations. She is also active in the Charlotte theater scene as a producer, director, and actor.
There is no charge for our current members. For nonmembers, the cost is $15.00. For $30.00, you will get the event plus membership with MTA through June 2022!
