Forsyth Beekeepers Club
We have 125 Nucs reserved with Bob Binnie of Blue Ridge Honey Company. We will get over wintered nucs, so we're getting them earlier than many suppliers are able to provide.
They $185 each, plus a $5/nuc delivery charge to cover our volunteers' gas and dinner on the day they pick up the nucs. That means each nuc was $190.
As you know, everything depends on weather and volunteer availability for delivery of these nucs to Cumming. We are looking at mid-March. As we know more, I will update everyone thru e-mail, FaceBook, and this sign up online.
Money will be accepted at the January and February meeting, checks are preferred (make out to Forsyth Beekeepers Club). Full payment is due at the February meeting. "Unsold" nucs will be sold at our bee school in February, including nucs reserved but not paid for. Please remember to include membership dues on your check if you've not paid those yet.
Here's a video to show a 5 frame honey bee nuc, and how you would put it into your hive.
(Special pricing available to FBC members. Membership form must be completed and dues must be paid before your nuc is officially reserved.)
This is a first come / first paid basis. Once the reserved number is hit, we will have a waiting list. You may sign up in the WAITING LIST, and Kelley Campbell will contact you if nuc(s) become available)
Reminder - Keepers are encouraged to maintain a minimum of 2 colonies for multiple reasons, including "frame of reference" for comparison, and readily available eggs for re-queening. New keepers - consider 2 nucs.
