Volunteer for Abria Life is Wonderful Walk/Run

Setup

Set up tents, chairs, tables, water stations, registration, and shirts.

Registration/Pickup Table

Check in, hand out and issue race bibs and shirts to participants. Volunteer should be comfortable using technology.

T-shirts at Reg Table

Organize t-shirts and work together with registration volunteers.

Water Stop

Pour and hand out water to race participants along the route. The water stop is at the halfway mark of the course at Minnehaha and Lake Harriet Parkway.

Face Painting & Balloon Artist Tent

Assist the face painting and balloon artists in managing lines and guests.

Mother’s Day Cards Tent

Assist families in creating cards and keep supplies organized.

Yard Games

Monitor game area

Refreshments

Set out free snacks on the tables under the pavilion and hand out to race participants.

Time Machine (ARM)

Assist official timer at the start and finish line

Kids Dash

Help in lining up and organizing the kids for each race.

Bag Drop

Manage the bag drop area. Bag drop will be used by race participants to store their personal belongings while competing in the race.

Floater

Provide breaks to other volunteers and fill in where needed.

Clean Up and Tear Down

Tear down tents, chairs, tables and clean up materials.

Host Two Top Teams Area

Oversee the area where our top two teams have their own tents. Welcome participants, replenish refreshments, answer questions, and thank them for supporting Abria.
