Christ is Risen! It is a wonderful thing that we are back to capacity at church in Carrollton, Texas. At this time we need between 5-6 loaves for each Sunday liturgy, depending on loaf size. You can bring the bread to Vespers on Saturday evening OR on Sunday morning before 9:30 am. For those of you that do not have a seal, Father Dave prefers to use a large lamb for communion both in height and width. There are a few seals that you can borrow from our church kitchen. The gifted pan is also a great option and can be purchased from our bookstore.
This recipe will make 2 9-inch loaves:
- 6 to 6 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoon yeast
- 2 1/2 cups warm water
- Form 2 balls, place in pans, impress with seal, remove seal.
- Let dough rise until it almost doubles in size.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
