Families4Families
Families4FamiliesDMV is a local non profit organization responding to the food insecurity crisis in the wake of COVID-19. They deliver ‘Bags of Basics’, a week's worth of food for a family of four, to families in need around the country. This is done through local student-based clubs in schools and neighborhoods, who are paired with a carefully vetted nonprofit organization.
Every month, their student-led clubs provide groceries and other essential items (including masks, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and more) to over 200 families across the country. Since March 2020, the Families4FamiliesDMV network has provided over 350,000 meals to families in need!
This month, Rock Creek Forest Elementary School is collaborating with Families4FamiliesDMV to provide groceries to the families of Project Create in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
