St. Joseph's Social Justice & Faith Formation Present:
Trunk or Treat is a family friendly event that provides families a safe place to celebrate Halloween while also learning about and helping those who face hunger on a daily basis. We ask families who participate in the Trunk or Treat event to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to those in need. Kids will go door to door inside our Faith Formation Wing to collect treats from decorated doors (trunks) and play games in the Great Hall. We have two great nights and three fun ways for you to serve others and help your community with this event!
Decorating Night! Wednesday, Oct. 27th from 6:00PM – 8:00PM in the Great Hall. Pizza and pop will be provided. You can bring your friends to help decorate a door (we can help you with a theme idea or you can come up with something yourself) or help us with setting up the games and concessions. We may have a few pumpkins to carve too! Plan to get creative and have fun setting up to help make Saturday’s event successful. Volunteers who prefer to create their own door and bring their own supplies can add their theme idea in the “comments” section. If you would like to decorate a door, please contact Denise at [email protected] by Wednesday, Ocotber 20th.
Event Night! Saturday, Oct. 30th from 5:30-8:30PM. (actual event time is 6pm to 8pm) We need help handing out candy at the decorated doors in the hallway, help with concessions, food collection, and help with the games. Meet Denise in St. Josephs’ Hall for instructions. Come in costume for a chance at some fun prizes and treats! Prizes will also be awarded for most creative doors!
Please bring your non-perishable food items with you either night.
