UPDATE: We have found that our mobile distribution sites and quanitity of food required at each is a moving target. Please be aware that volunteer shifts may need to be cancelled as we manage our food inventory. Thank you for your understanding!
Volunteer areas are defined as follows:
Distribution Team: Individuals will join the staff team at mobile distribution sites to assist in serving our families. Role includes quality customer service, loading product into vehicles, traffic management and possible data collection. Ideal volunteers in this role are outgoing, friendly, adaptable and can lift 25-30 pounds on a repeated basis. (Adults only)
Packing Team: Individuals will work together to pack boxes of non-perishable items for distributions following the provided menu items. Role includes standing on concrete floors, repetitive motion, and possibly lifting up to 50 pounds. Ideal volunteers in this role are team players and can follow instructions well. (Family-friendly)
Produce Team: Individuals will sort and package fresh produce and/or perishables in preparation for distribution. Role includes standing on concrete floors and repetitive motion. Ideal volunteers in this role are detail-oriented, team players and adaptable. (Family-friendly)
Warehouse Team: Individuals will assist in keeping an efficient and effective warehouse space by putting away food deliveries, preparing for food pack events, loading vehicles for distribution events and general cleaning and maintenance. Role includes repetitive motion and lifting up to 50 pounds on a repeated basis. Ideal volunteers in this role are hard-working, helpful, adaptable and have good spacial reasoning. (16+)
