The Kai Ea program will focus on the value of malama i ke kai and protecting and preserving the natural ocean resources. Haumana will learn of our seafaring ancestors and the importance of the ocean in the daily lives of our kupuna. They will participate in a service learning project and plant native coastal plants near the learning site at the KIRC Boathouse. The participants will also conduct a beach clean up, collect data, and analyze items gathered. This program is supported in part by Kaulu by Kamehameha Schools Digital.
