Loaves & Fishes
Welcome to the 2019 farming season! Thank you for your interest in volunteering in our Farm For All garden. Since much of farm work depends on the weather, volunteer opportunities are subject to change with short notice. Volunteers will be notified of any changes via email.
If you would like to volunteer, but the times listed do not work for you, or if you would like to schedule a large group opportunity, please contact our farm manager, Kimberly Greene-DeLanghe at [email protected] Our farm staff is usually in the field from at least 8:30-4pm most weekdays, weather permitting, and we welcome volunteers as long as we are in the field. We do ask that you confirm with us before coming to the field though. Even one hour of volunteering makes a huge impact for the organization.
Some of the sign-ups are for particular groups to better track participants. If a group is not open to public sign up it will be marked (Closed Group or Closed Event). If you are part of that group, please feel free to sign up, otherwise please choose another day. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thank you to Greater Twin Cities United Way. In celebration of their centennial, GTCUW has partnered with and enabled Loaves & Fishes to create Farm for All. The project includes four garden locations throughout the Metro area growing fresh produce taken directly from farm to table.
Other Supporters throughout the years include but are not limited to: Tonkadale Greenhouse, Lakewinds Co-op, Anoka County OTI, Cowsmo Compost, Home Depot, The Mulch Store, JavaCycle, Ace Welna Hardware, Sustane Organic Fertilizers, Fleet Farm, Toro, MN Farm Bureau, Medtronic, TimCo, Tilsner Carton, and Comcast.
