Digital Families Community Event

At a Digital Families Community Event, you can expect to:  Connect with your children in order to understand what it’s like for them growing up online.  Work through interactive sessions to explore how your family responds to real life online interactions and how you can protect one another online.  Walk away with an action plan to set guidelines on device use and online habits.

That was just a quick description of what a Digital Families Event is. May 7th at 3pm we will be meeting at the school to go over everything for this Event. All materials needed will be passed out, so please try to make it. Here is a breakdown of each Volunteer need listed below:

*Activity Volunteers will have their own subject to cover. All materials are given to include a script for each specific activity. Each session will last 15 minutes and is very interactive. Once signed up, I will email you a copy of your script and activity sheets so you can look everything over before our meeting (TBD).

*Sign-In Table Volunteers will need to have each family sign a Photo Release form and provide them with their "Passport" and group number. Numbers will be assigned for the entire family and will only range from 1 to 3. These numbers will tell each family which Activity to go to first when the Host/Presenter gives out that information.

*The Timer will help to keep everything run smoothly by keeping track of each 15-minute activity session. This person will have a radio to communicate to each Activity Volunteer, Host/Presenter and Guides.

*The Guides will help during the Activity transitions making sure the groups get to their next activity location smoothly. Locations for the Activities are Cafeteria, Gym and Music Room.

*Set Up and Clean Up are self explanatory. I will help guide you during both times.

*Parking Lot Guides will help everyone to find a spot without incident. The grassy area behind the parking lot should be available for overflow (weather permitting). Both sides of the parking lot will be available.

*Food and Drink Volunteers will help to serve people in an orderly fashion to keep the line flowing. We will be providing dinner berfore and during the presentations. Then cupcakes during the celebration after the activities.

*The Photographer can roam freely and take pictures of all aspects of the evening.
