Intergenerational Flower Ceremony OUTDOORS with Rev. Shari Woodbury and music by Judi Torneten
Be sure to register in advance to participate in our first in-person worship service of 2021! (Seating is limited so that we can maintain social distancing between households. Advance sign-up is required--sign up below.)
We will gather in the church parking lot as a community of all ages, to celebrate the UU tradition of Flower Ceremony, plus GLBTQ Pride Month, in a rainbow of floral colors. Please bring your mask to wear (regardless of vaccination status, except for the smallest children), and if you can, please bring one or more flowers, from your yard, pot, wild areas or wherever. If you’d like to bring extra flowers, they can be incorporated into bouquets that Caring Team volunteers will deliver to homebound members. We will also have extra flowers on hand for those present at the service. Distancing will be maintained throughout the service, including during the Flower Ceremony, and we will enjoy non-singing music. A designated area for families with grade school and younger children will include fun activities for the children.
You're invited to bring your own chairs if you're able and if that is more comfortable for you.
You're also invited to bring any percussion instruments with you -- there will be time to make some music together.
We will have a vaccinated unmasked soloist singing. You are free to choose to sit further back if that makes you more comfortable.
Anyone not feeling well that morning should remain home.
The church building will be open for bathroom access only. We will NOT be holding a formal coffee hour after worship this Sunday (in person or virtually).
Parking: Since we're using the parking lot for the service, please park in the garage or on the street. The parking ticket validation machine will be available in the garden. You may park in the Midtown Crossing Parking Garage to the west of the church lot. The entrance to the parking garage is on Farnam Street.
Are you in another city, homebound, or still staying away from group events? No problem -- The Zoom event link for the June 13th service is the same one we use every Sunday: https://zoom.us/j/99486929188
In case of rain, worship will be held on Zoom only.
