Class Description: The Arthritis Exercise Class provides gentle movement and strengthening for people with disabilities and/or joint disease. Classes will include warm up, strengthening, stretching, cardio, and relaxation segments, all from a seated position. Everyone is welcome to join us .
About Lela: Lela DaVia, M.A., M.S. is a certified Acu Yoga instructor. A graduate of the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, Lela taught gentle stretch there as well as at Cazadero Music and Arts Camp, various women’s retreats, VARA Healing ArtsYoga Studio, and privately to groups upon request. She has formally studied dance for over 35 years as well as a variety of movement techniques including yoga and NIA. Lela is also a certified Peer Spirit Circle facilitator for women’s groups and a founding member of the California Alliance for Women that produces an annual Women’s Retreat in Northern California. Lela recently became a certified Arthritis Exercise Class instructor through the Arthritis Foundation. She is dedicated to encouraging a fit and healthy lifestyle for all ages, through movement.
Fees: BORP Classes are offered for $11 per class. We also offer a 10-class pass for a rate of $100. Seniors 55 or older and veterans pay $8 per class or $70 for a 10-class pass. Passes can be used for any class and are valid for one year.
