Interfaith and Nonprofit Skills Share: Interfaith Enrichment Corps

This is an invitation for current and former CIC board members, staff, and volunteers to share their experience with the Interfaith Enrichment Corps.  Our AmeriCorps members are tasked with building connections between faith communities, people in need, and resource providers.  In order to support them in their service, we provide training opportunities that spotlight central Indiana nonprofits, highlight the importance of cultural and religious sensitivity, and cover a wide range of skills and topics from soft skills and an ethic of service to nonprofit management, volunteer coordination, safety, and distaster planning.

What's a share session?  30 minutes or 1 hour focusing on your experience and/or expertise in these areas our members have requested.  For interfaith shares, our goal is simply beginning a dialogue - for some members it will be their first opportunity to engage in conversation with someone of a different faith or culture, and for others, it may be another opportunity to practice cultural agility or dive deeper.  For skill shares, the goal is not to teach everything someone might need to know about the topic in 60 minutes, but rather to give an overview of some important elements, share tips for getting started, favorite tools, books, etc.

I’m also asking speakers to share a little about their career path and/or what drives them to volunteer, if they are comfortable doing so.

When do these happen?  We will meet biweekly through August of 2022, so there are ample opportunities to share with the cohort.  Biweekly meetings happen on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings.

Please review the topics below and click on the button to sign up to share with our members.  Once you have indicated your interest in sharing, I will reach out to coordinate a time that is convenient for you. Thank you!
