Greeters/Ushers
Greeters/Ushers play a key behind-the-scenes role that enables worship to proceed smoothly, which is particularly essential as we cautiously return indoors for worship. Please sign up for any Sundays that work with your schedule. Thanks.
For the forseeable future, the Greeter/Usher role will look a bit different than you may be accustomed to. Here are the details:
- Welcome folks as they enter the sanctuary.
- Offer a paper bulletin OR, if folk prefer to access the e-bulletin, pointing them to the QR code at each sanctuary entrance.
- During the anthem, ushers pass the offering plates up and down the pews. When finished collecting the offering, ushers will gather in the rear of the sanctuary.
- During the doxology, the ushers will process with plates up the center aisle to the chancel area, stay for the prayer, and then use the side aisles to return to their seats.
- After worship, the usher captain and one other usher need to pick up all the collection plates (with offering) and bring to the office for counting.
- FYI, the Welcome Spot will be open AFTER worship during fellowship hour.
