Private Power & Technique lessons are now available for the 2019-2020 season at The Pond during Public Skating Sessions. Lessons are taught in 30 minute increments and the cost is $35/half hour.* Not all days/times will be available each week so look closely at the dates as you sign up.
NEW TREADMILL SESSIONS! 20 minute private sessions are now available on The Pond Treadmill. The cost for these sessions is $35/20 minutes and includes the rental of the treadmill. These sessions are open to players of ALL levels who are looking to perfect their forward stride technique, build endurance and increase overall speed. Emphasis will be placed, first and foremost, on slow speed drills that will help to improve skating posture and stride technique with the goal of developing new or more efficient movement patterns. As the drills are mastered and skating form improves, the speed of the treadmill will be slowly increased to provide even more of a challenge.
Cardiovascular and muscular endurance training will be inherent in each session as the player will work toward staying on the treadmill for the entire 20 minutes.
Additional dates/times for all sessions are added regularly so please check back often. You will receive a "reminder email" 2 days prior to each lesson-please set your email to recognize the Sign Up Genius address so the reminder does not end up in Spam.
All lessons are subject to change or cancelation. You will receive an email and phone call for all last minute cancelations. Please call, text or email Kris Fondran at 216-272-7430 or [email protected] if you have to cancel less than 12 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Do the same if you schedule in an open time slot on the SAME day as the lesson is scheduled to take place. Can't make a session at the last minute? Finding a replacement is completely acceptable and encouraged. "No shows" are subject to paying the full session fee and will receive an invoice for session(s) missed.
*Public Skate admission & Stick & Puck Session fees not included. Please see The Pond for details.
