2018-2019 Makefield Families
This year on March 8th we are hosting our traditional International Fair celebration at Makefield Elementary School. We are looking for students to choose a country (other than the USA) and showcase what they have learned. They should choose a specific area of interest and then create a tabletop display presentation. Students may work alone, with a partner or in a group. This event has been revamped so that the students will research, present and share what they have learned.
In addition to creating an innovative and fun display, at the end of the night we have set aside some time so students may perform a song, dance or speak in a language from their chosen country. Please note on the signup if they intend to share in this manner.
We hope that by expecting the students to do the work for this event that they will have a stronger sense of community, pride and ownership surrounding it.
Students must bring their own table on which to display their project. Dropoff of projects will be from 5 to 7:30PM Thursday night 3/7 and 7:30 to 9AM on Friday 3/8. For students presenting a country through a food experience, those projects must be dropped off in the cafeteria from 5 to 6 PM the night of the fair.
