Saint Paul's Community Garden
Spring at last! Welcome to another growing season for the Saint Paul's Community Garden! We hope our garden provides parishioners with the opportunity to reflect upon the ways in which God's good creation, alongside our labor, can nourish our bodies, minds and souls.
We enjoyed an abundant harvest in 2018! The Bedford Food Pantry so appreciated our donations (of tomatoes, tomatoes, and more tomatoes) last summer and we hope to share our bounty with this organization again this year. Items can be dropped off at the Pantry between 1:30 and 4:30 on Thursdays (no need for separate packaging), and if that time is not convenient, someone from the Green Team will help you make other arrangements! In addition, we will offer "grab and go" produce to parishioners at coffee hour.
Alexis Carlson will serve as advisor to this year's volunteers. You can contact her with any questions at [email protected], and she will be in touch as your designated week approaches.
This year we again invite parishioners to assume responsibility for the garden during one or preferably two of the weeks listed below. Your family's responsibilities could include planting, watering, weeding, and / or harvesting depending on the timing of your shift. No "Green Thumb" needed! Please include an email address at which you can be reached when you sign up. Come join us in experiencing the joy of working with God to help our Earth produce!
