October 27, 2019: Head of the Fish

Dear Fellow Crew Parents:

Description:  The last regatta of the season at a beautiful but often muddy location (wear boots!) 

Time: Additional details will be provided closer to the event.

Location: Fish Creek, Saratoga Lake, Saratoga, NY 

Parking: Onsite Parking with a $10 fee.  Parking attendants will direct you once onsite

Rowers: approx. 150 rowers & spectators

Serving Size Guidance: When making pasta, salads, and other dishes, please keep in mind that we're feeding 150+ athletes plus spectators. 9x13 disposable aluminum pans are recommended (or comparable for desserts, etc) 

Menu:

  • Breakfast: scrambled eggs, bagels, quick breads, fruit salad, oatmeal
  • Lunch: chili, salads, desserts 
  • As always, rowers pay nothing and family members donate $5 each for each meal.
  • Reinforce with your athletes that they need to eat 2 hours before their races.  It's important that they are fully digested prior to their race so that they will perform at their best.  If they have an early race, they will want to have eaten before they arrive at the event.
