Refresh

This fall Pastor Emily will be offering “Refresh,” a Confirmation-type class for adults!  Has it been a long time since your Confirmation, and you’d like a refresher?  (Or are you a transplant like me and never went through Confirmation yourself?)  Do you feel like there are gaps in your understanding of the core tenets of our faith?  Are you curious about what is covered in Confirmation class at Bethlehem these days?  

This class could be for you! 

We will use a hybrid method for our time together.  The class will involve approximately one in-person session a month, with a video to engage in each of the intervening weeks (and possibly an online discussion board).  All in all, the plan is for this to be about a one hour a week commitment.

Our kickoff (in person) meeting will be Wednesday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m.  At that meeting we will discuss the format of the class, and I’ll be looking for feedback on what will work best for our group.  This class, along with the format, will be new for me, too, so we can learn together!  The course will last the duration of the school year, and while missing here and there won’t be the end of the world, my hope is that if you sign up for the class, you will commit to more-or-less participate in it fully.
