B'nai Zion and Mizpah Congregations are again joining with Erlanger to provide a Christmas Luncheon to families and friends visiting their loved ones in the hospital as well as feeding the on-duty hospital staff, enabling our neighbors to spend sacred time with their families on their holy day. In addition to the service we've provided for the past four years at Erlanger Main Campus, we are please to expand our program to include Erlanger's East Campus on Gunbarrel Road.
Erlanger is providing the food (except for the desserts that we are bringing-see below) while we are providing the volunteer power to make this happen. If you can be with us on the 25th, please sign up for a volunteer shift. The electronic sign-up below will first list the shifts at the Main campus then the shifts at the East Campus; please be sure to sign up for your desired location. Volunteers can sign up for only one shift; each volunteer will need a separate email address. If you are able to bring a dessert with you on the 25th, please send an email to [email protected] as we will need as many desserts as possible.
If you can't be with us on the 25th, please consider providing a homemade or good store-bought dessert. Send an email to [email protected] to sign up to provide a dessert. You'll be able to drop off your dessert at either B'nai Zion or Mizpah the week before the luncheon - anytime before noon on Friday, December, 21st.
The week before the 25th you will receive more information about where to park and meet the other volunteers. The hospital will provide us a kosher-style brunch (at the main campus only).
This year's mitzvah is in memory of Seth Lurie Eichenthal who volunteered his time five years ago with his mother, Bea, just before his untimely passing. In addition we dedicate our service to the memory of Sylvia Wygoda who started this incredible mitzvah project in 2013. Thank you Kevin Spiegel for opening Erlanger's door to us to fulfill this mitzvah and for generously providing the food.
