Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down

Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down 2022

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down!  We are very excited to be back and having this wonderful event, so we hope to see you either (or both) on Monday, October 17, 2022 (set-up) and/or Tuesday, October 18, 2022 (day of the actual event).  Volunteers make this day a success while we serve our Veterans!

Please Note:  Volunteer sign-ups will close on Friday, October 7, 2022.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.  Children between the ages of 12-17 must have prior approval from our Volunteer Chair to participate.

Three volunteer opportunities:

  • Monday, October 17, to set up  9-00 - 3:00
  • Tuesday’s Event, October 18   7:00 - 1:30
  • Tuesday - 1:30 Tear Down.

You can sign up for all three if you like - You choose!

Please, choose only one Volunteer job slot for the Tuesday Event (this does not include the Tear Down).

If you are both a Veteran and an Event Volunteer, please let us know when you sign up.  We can give you Guest Access to Stand Down.

If you sign up for the day of the event (Tuesday, October 18): Please make sure you go to our website and sign up for a lunch.  This helps us get a more accurate headcount, so thanks! https://www.centralohiostanddown.org/

Note:  Location, work times, parking, other Volunteer guidelines can be found on our CentralOhioStandDown.org page under Volunteers.

Location:  Greater Columbus Convention Center, Exhibition Hall C and D and 2nd Floor Ballroom, 400 N. High Street, Columbus

COVID Policy

We want to keep everyone healthy!

Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down will support the Columbus Public Health and county health agencies regarding indoor masking as a method of preventing the spread of COVID.

  • Issued 7/22/22: advises people to wear mask in indoor places as well as crowded locations.
  • Surgical masks will be available at Greater Columbus Convention Center prior to entering the event space.
  • We encourage you, our providers, and volunteers to stay safe and healthy.
