Course Setup (w/ 4WD Truck/SUV) (2)

Drive our course build crews and assisting w/ course marking. Prior knowledge of route a plus. Must have large 4WD vehicle with room to carry 2 people and course marking gear on some VERY rough/steep/rocky roads. ADD COMMENT TO SIGN-UP W/ YOUR VEHICLE.

Course Setup (Passengers in Vehicle) (4)

Jump in a truck and assist with course flagging, signage, and marking course marshal locations.

Course Setup (Bike Shuttle Driver)

Shuttle the bike course build crew out the Gateway Trails entrance. Truck or large vehicle required; must be able to carry three people, three bikes, plus all course building equipment (backpacks and/or bike trailers).

Course Setup (On Bike) (3)

Responsible for riding in and setting up course markings in singletrack sections. Must be able to ride with large backpack or bike trailer carrying course setup supplies. ADD COMMENT TO SIGN-UP IF YOU HAVE A BIKE TRAILER YOU CAN BRING.

Welcome people to Grinduro at entrance of Shastice Park, assist with parking direction and traffic flow.

Floaters become our go-to people when any extra help is needed. Duties include being flexible and adaptable to any role that may need additional assistance, while roaming around to answer questions and help participants as needed.

Merch & Beer Ticket Sales (2)

Manage sales of beer tickets and merch using iPads

Prologue Stage Start/Finish Management (4)

2 stationed at start, 2 at the finish. Under direction of timing team, setup & monitor timing equipment. Keep riders from gathering near timing beacons. Volunteers not be responsible for timing results. Stage 2 can ONLY be accessed via bike.

Trash & Recycling (9)

Roam through the venue and empty trash/recycling cans as needed. Take trash/recycling in a wagon to main dumpster in the venue.

Packet Pickup / Registration (8)

Help check in racers, make sure waivers are signed, hand out number plates, hand out racer gifts (bags and socks). PLEASE SIGNUP FOR BOTH FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND SATURDAY MORNING IF POSSIBLE.

Drive the ride route roads (dirt and pavement) to confirm all course markings are clear and visible to ensure riders will correctly navigate the route. EACH PERSON MUST HAVE 4WD VEHICLE, ADD COMMENT TO SIGN-UP WITH YOUR VEHICLE DETAILS.

Pre-ride the singletrack sections to confirm all course markings are clear and visible to ensure riders will correctly navigate the route. EACH PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO RIDE SECTIONS ON BIKE/E-BIKE.

Help direct racers to the start line staging area before the race.

Aid Station A Water Stop Support (2)

Bring extra water on course to keep our riders hydrated. You'll be stationed at a "basic aid station" with water and porta pottie. MUST HAVE 4WD TRUCK TO CARRY WATER JUGS. ADD COMMENT TO SIGN-UP WITH YOUR VEHICLE DETAILS.

Stage 1 Start/Finish Management (4)

2 stationed at stage start, 2 at finish. Under direction of timing team, setup & monitor timing equipment. Keep riders from gathering near timing beacon. Volunteers not responsible for timing results. Stage 1 can be accessed by 4WD vehicle.

Layer Drop Management (2)

Drive layer drop bins out to start of first stage, direct riders to drop off extra gear, return bins to venue. ONE PERSON MUST HAVE 4WD TRUCK. ADD COMMENT TO SIGN-UP TO CONFIRM IF YOU DO.

Stage 2 Start/Finish Management (4)

2 stationed at start, 2 at finish. Under direction of timing team, setup & monitor timing equipment. Keep riders from gathering near timing beacon. Volunteers not responsible for timing results. Stage 2 can ONLY be accessed via bike.

Course Marshal (30)

Responsible for ensuring rider safety, traffic control, directing riders, radio communication, recording race details. Most locations access by vehicle, some require ride in. Plan for all day, but shifts will be shorter depending on course location.

Moto Support & Sweep (4)

Ride sections of the course and support riders as needed. Carry extra water, tubes, snacks, basic tools (will be provided by event). Must be offroad capable and street legal. Motos won't ride singletrack sections.

Aid Station B Support (4)

Help keep aid station treats stocked and water aplenty for racers! This will be long day out on course. Volunteers must have high energy and enthusiasm, costumes encouraged!

Communications Log Note Taker

Spends the entire day with our communications control lead and records all race notes communicated over the radio.
