In today’s age of excess and plenty, it is hard to understand why people…sometimes our co-workers or neighbors…don’t always know where their next meal will come from. Feeding the hungry is one of our most important missions, and we simply cannot do it without your help.
Bishop Sullivan Center distributes groceries from two food pantries and serves hot meals each weeknight at One City Café. They help 1,200 families each month with needed groceries, and an average of 230 people enjoy a hot dinner at One City Café each night.
For years Holy Family has been assisting at Bishop Sullivan Center, previously called St. James Place! In addition to the monthly non-perishable food drive that we do for Bishop Sullivan Center, we assist serving the meal on the first Tuesday of every month at the One City Cafe! The newly renovated cafe is an amazing place nourishing those coming to the table in so many ways.
SO WE NEED YOU! One City Cafe needs 20 people to assist with the serving of the meal. You will need to arrive at 4 pm and generally done by 6:30 pm. You may be instructed to be a greeter or server. You may be asked to help at the salad bar or bus tables! Many ways to serve those coming to be fed!
