With WBG's grand opening just around the corner, this year's NuLu Fest will be our only external fall festival this year, but it's definitely one of our favorites.
We're seeking volunteers to help us staff our information booth and tent, which will have a specific focus on the fact that the grand opening will be less than a week away.
(**Working this table will also be good practice for those who will have just finished our inaugural Garden Guide Program to get in some more speaking practice ahead of the graduation on October 2**)
Below is a description of the festival:
"We shut down the street for a good 'ole block party, featuring local food, craft beers, bourbons, awesome local and regional vendors, and live music on two stages."
WHEN: Saturday, Sep. 28
WHERE: 600, 700, and 800 blocks of E. Market St in NuLu
Shifts at the WBG tent will be 2 hours apiece. The first and last slots require some setup and tear down assistance.
If this is your first time helping us in this capacity, please indicate that in the Comments. If you are signing up yourself and someone else to work the same shift, please provide us with their name as well in the Comments.
If you have any WBG gear, feel free to wear it. If not, we will be selling merch at this event if you'd like to buy some.
Your Event Captain for this festival is: JOYCE CLARK (9am-2pm) 502-608-2880
NED PRICE, (2pm-6pm) 502-229-6538
If you find yourself running late, have to leave early, your shift partner doesn't show, or some other issue arises, please contact your Event Captain ASAP.
We will be present during the "family-friendly" hours of the festival from 11am-6pm.
Thank you so much for everything that you continue to do for WBG!
