Join us and volunteer at the 9th Annual Canstruction®Madison. The event will begin on Wednesday, April 24th at West Towne Mall, Madison. There are volunteer shifts available on Wednesday, April 24th and Sunday, May 5th. We couldn't hold this event without the help of dedicated volunteers, like you!
Canstruction® Madison is a community competition to end hunger. The event will take place at West Towne Mall. Teams (of local businesses, architects, engineers, students, and community members) build incredible, highly imaginative structures out of canned goods and packaged food they have either purchased or collected. Upon completion of the event, the food is donated to MOM’s Food Pantry, serving Madison, Middleton and Cross Plains. Following a year when MOM distributed nearly 1.4 million pounds of food to people in need, help is needed more than ever.
**To Current MOM Volunteers: If you sign up for any of the Canstruction® shifts on this site, please do NOT record your volunteer time in Volgistics. Instead, for one-time Events like this one, the MOM Main Office will record your volunteer time.**
Volunteers to be ages 16 and older and should:
- Dress comfortably in clothes that may get dirty
- Wear comfortable shoes
- May want to wear work gloves (particularly when laying wood at build sites)
- Some positions require Medium lifting - see descriptions for each shift
