January Speaker Series – Sundays at 10:30-11:30a

1/10, 1/17 & 1/24/2021

January 10 - Ben Garvin, photojournalist/documentarian. Ben will share some stories of his experience being embedded in the crowd during the MPLS uprising, following the killing of George Floyd.

January 17 - Craig Freeman, Beacon Interfaith Housing. Craig will address racism in housing. “ Beacon has a three-prong approach to housing:

1. Sustain Stable Homes
2. Shelter Families
3. Change Systems

January 24 - Sondra Samuels will speak about her work with the Northside Achievement Zone. “The Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) exists to permanently close the achievement gap and end generational poverty in North Minneapolis. Together with our partner organizations, we are walking side by side with low-income families as they put their children on a path to college.”
