Test of Adult Basic Education - TABE Placement TEST
- Testing sessions include Reading and Math
- Photo ID is required (Driver License, State ID, Passport, or Military ID)
Please sign up for Registration and Orientation. You will take the Reading assessment the first day and math your second day. Please allow approximately 3 hours each day to complete the assessments and registration. You do not need to prepare for these placement tests. It is not a pass or fail test. It gives your instructor your strengths and weaknesses in Reading and Math to prepare you for your High School Equivalency Test (HSE). Placement Tests and Classes are Free.
- If you are a potential Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) student and wish to take the reading TABE TEST for entrance into the CNA program; please register on a Monday for the reading (TABE) test. If you need to test BEFORE July 8th please call Christine Verolme at (704) 978-1359 to schedule a test.
**If you are under 18 years old, you must have a Minor Release Form (you can pick them up at Continuing Education in Statesville or in Building A in Mooresvile). This needs to be signed by a parent/gaurdian in front of a notary and signed by the school superintendant.
*A student with a disability, who wishes to request accommodations for the placement test, should contact the Disability Services office at [email protected] or call (704) 878-3364 prior to signing up for the placement test.
If the testing center is full, priority is given to those students who show up first.
Please no food or drinks. (Bottled water with lid only.) Cell phones, smart watches and other electronic devices are not allowed in testing room.
