SD/HI Family Promise
We have news since this sign-up sheet went live almost two weeks ago!
We will host 3 families beginning on November 17. Two families are new to the program: Linda and her son, Sir, who is 17 and attends North Springs High School. Linda is looking for employment, and Sir is involved in theatre and the mock trial club. Tiara is starting a new job at a SunTrust call center. She has 3 children: Channdalar, a 15-year-old daughter; Taybeon, a 14-year-old son, and Navaeh, 12-year-old daughter. They are in school at Centennial High and Holcomb Bridge middle school.
We will welcome back Nina and her 2 children, a girl, Yani, aged 11, and a boy, Ty, aged 12. Nina is a school bus driver during the school year.
We have no food allergies or other limitations to report.
Family Promise has helped Brian, and his 17-year-old son, Brennan, to find housing near Fort McPherson. They moved into their new home last week. We wish them well! Mary and her family have also graduated from the program.
As always, we are excited about the extraordinary opportunity to help families make the transition from homelessness to sustained independence -- while keeping their families together.
Please see below the many ways that you can help -- by bringing and serving meals, spending the night, and other ways.
Don't hesitate to call one of the coordinators named below if you have any questions or suggestions.
