THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER!

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!

The Herdman Kids:
Ralph ... the oldest and coolest. He’s the enforcer, 13
Imogene ... leader of the Herdmans. She’s loud, bossy, and crafty, 12
Leroy ...Ralph’s back-up. Very confident in the muscle department, 11
Claude ... scrappy and smart, 10
Ollie ... a bit of a naïve urchin who follows the older boys’ leads, 9
Gladys ... little but fierce. Nothing scares Gladys, 8

The Bradleys:

Grace ... sweet, good-humored, slightly frazzled mom, 35 to 40ish.
Bob ... easy-going dad, wry sense of humor, 35 to 40ish
Charlie ... typical kid brother, says what he thinks, 10
Beth ... Charlie’s older, and wiser sister. She’s honest and kind, 11

Church People:
Helen Armstrong ... organized steamroller. She’s always in charge, 40 to 50ish
Reverend Hopkins ... occasionally befuddled, always well-meaning, 40 to 50ish

Mrs. McCarthy (35 to 45) ... supporting role, pleasant, motherly, wants to be Mrs. Armstrong, strong-willed and nosy, she is always looking for the next best gossip

Mrs. Slocum (35 to 60) ... happy to share juicy gossip with everyone, she’s the Herdmans’ neighbors and knows all about the no good they bring

Mrs. Clark (35 to 60) ...  part of the gossip chain and too busy to help with the Pageant

Mrs. Clausing (35 to 60) ... part of the gossip chain

Kids:

Alice Wendleken (10 to 14)  knows everything and when it’s not done right she ventures to let people know either by correcting them or writing it down in her book

Maxine (10 to 14) Alice and Beth’s Friend & narrates the Christmas story in the Pageant

Elmer Hopkins (12 to 16)  the Reverend's son & more than happy to hand over the role of Joseph to Ralph Herdman. He plays a shepherd in the Pageant.

Hobie (male, 8 to 11)  He plays a shepherd in the Pageant.

David (male, 8 to 11)  He plays a shepherd in the Pageant.

Beverly (female, 8 to 11)

Doris (female, 7 to 10)

Baby Angel Shirley (female, 6 to 7)

Baby Angel Juanita (female, 6 to 7)

Extra Angel Choir members, Baby Angels

THREE WISHES FOR CHRISTMAS

Written & directed by Meredith Bridges

Storyline: Peter Pakowski is sure that this Christmas is going to be the most miserable one of his life. Money is tight, so he knows Old Saint Nick won’t be bringing him the gifts that he wants, and what’s more, he is going to have to spend Christmas with his crazy cousin, Bertram! So, when Peter’s little sister convinces him to make a wish on a special Christmas star, he doesn’t have high hopes. But when a star fairy that only he can see appears in his living room, things liven up quickly! With an invisible fairy guest and three wishes that he must use before Christmas is over, Peter’s holiday celebrations with his large family are looking to be much more interesting than he thought!

Cast:

Male roles: 5

Mr. Pakowski (Peter’s dad) … age 38, shabby, disorganized, loves his family dearly

Uncle Barnum … age 43, loud, overexuberant

Cousin Frank … age 16, likes arguing with his siblings (especially Bertram)

Peter Pakowski … age 14, loves video games, firm non-believer in magic (at first), sulky when he doesn’t get his way

Cousin Bertram … age 14, loud, no personal boundaries, breaks everything he touches, always excited to have fun and try anything new

Female roles: 7

Mrs. Pakowski … age 39, bossy, brisk, loves her family and tries to keep things in order

Aunt Pansy … age 42, over-worries, loves the kids but hugs them too much for their liking

Fairy Girl … looks like a young/teen girl, likes to make fantastical entrances but very down-to-business when it comes to making wishes

Cousin Petunia … age 17, sarcastic, self-centered, dresses only in dark clothes

Arabella Pakowski … age 16, constantly daydreaming, loves writing poetry

Ellie Pakowski … age 12, likes to keep her siblings in order, somewhat cynical

Miranda Pakowski … age 8, believes in fairies, loves her family and excited for Christmas
