Hello Scouts, ASM's, Committee Members and Parents,
On Saturday May 11, 2019 we will be taking a trip to one of the area's local Cultural Centers for a fun filled morning and informative visit.
All are welcome to attend including parents, grandparents and siblings. There are no minimum age requirements nor limitations on number of individuals who may attend.
This is a FREE tour.
We’ve been invited to visit and participate with a local Hebrew Temple, Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills.
Temple Beth El is the oldest Jewish Community in Michigan, established in 1850.
The tour will consist of observing their Shabbat Service and a Bar Mitzvah!!
Following the services, we’ve been invited to stay afterwards to participate in the Bar Mitzvah celebration. Estimated times (9:30 am –11:30 am)
Meet and greet by the Docent, introduction of their services, followed with a Tour of the facility.
Tour ends at 10:15 am as Services begins sharply at that time and will last approx. 1.5 hours
It is then followed by an Oneg (refreshments, which is open to the community.)
The Service is entirely in English but some singing is conducted in Hebrew.
Where to Meet:
Temple Beth El is located at: 7400 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills, Mi 48301, (248) 851-1100 (on Telegraph just North of 14 mile Rd)
Again EVERYONE is welcomed to attend along with parents, grandparents and siblings.
