Row of the Day Lunches
Each day of Marching Band Camp the "Row of the Day" is served a special lunch provided by the Marching Band Parents & Bay Music Boosters. We are requesting parent volunteers to buy and/or prepare lunch and then go to the high school band room area to serve lunch. You would need to be ready to serve the lunches at Noon. If time is needed for set up, you can arrive as early as 11:30 AM.
On Monday August 6th, lunch will be served for 10-15 people. Lunch that day is provided for the directors, field commanders and camp helpers.
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (August 7th, 9th, and 10th) lunches will be provided for the Row of the Day members as decided by Mr. Allen and the Marching Band staff. The number of students/staff is around 15-20. Some parents prepare a special lunch on their own at home, deliver, and then serve it. Others just buy lunch (pizza, Subway, Chipotle, etc.) and bring it in/serve. What you decide to do is totally up to you! You can share the responsibility between a few parents as well!
Wednesday of band camp week is picture day. That day, all band members will be served bagels with toppings, and a drink before pictures are taken. The bagels are generously donated by Einstein Brothers Bagels. We are requesting a parent volunteer(s) to pick up bagels, purchase toppings, set up before, monitor the students, and clean up after serving the bagels. The bagels will be served in the hallway outside of the main gymnasium at a time TBD by Mr. Allen between 10:15 am and 10:45 am. Set up will be at 9:45 am. Bagel service will be completed by 11:45 am.
Requested items: Pick up, slice, and bag bagels two days in a row (8/6/18 and 8/7/18) from Einstein Brothers Bagels on Detroit Road in Rocky River at 4:00 PM on Monday, and from Einstein Brothers at 14615 Detroit Ave, in Lakewood at 4:00 PM on Tuesday ; purchase seven 24 packs of bottled water, 5 tubs of plain cream cheese, 5 tubs of various flavored cream cheese, 2 large tubs of butter/margarine, 2 large jars of Nutella, 200 napkins, and 200 plastic knives.
The BMB does budget between $50-$75 a day to help with the cost of each lunch/Bagel Friday. If you would like to be reimbursed, please make sure to save your receipts and turn them into a BMB board member!
