Clinical Roles
Some volunteer roles like Vaccination Preparation, Vaccinator, and Post-Vaccine Recovery require clinical knowledge and qualifications. The state's Vaccination Administration Standing Order establishes who is qualified to administer the vaccine and the requirements governing that practice. For the purpose of these events, clinical volunteer credentials are RN, LPN, Student Nurse, EMT, Paramedic, Pharmacist (Students & Interns), NP, PA and Physician.
Current BLS certification is required for all Operation Safe clinical volunteer roles. For more information, please visit our Operation Safe Volunteer FAQ.
Please note, the Operation Safe clinics will be using either the Moderna or the Pfizer vaccine depending on the day. The clinical volunteer confirmation message will include information the vaccine administration schedule.
Non-Clinical Roles
Many volunteer roles do not require specialized clinical knowledge. Non-clinical volunteers are needed in Traffic Assistance, Valet, Wheelchair Ambassador, Registration and more.
Some roles are restricted to only Cerner, North Kansas City Hospital or Liberty Hospital employees. Please read the role descriptions to find the role that is right for you.
