The COVID-19 Response Team is coordinating food distribution efforts at Oakland University. Volunteers are needed on site to assist with packing food boxes for households. Shifts are from 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm Monday - Friday. Please sign up for no more than 2 individual days of the week (though you are welcome to sign up for both morning and afternoon shifts on the same day if you'd like for a maximum of 4 shifts/week). This helps us minimize the overall risk of exposure to coronavirus. While we prefer people to sign up for recurring weekly shifts (e.g., you'd volunteer every Monday morning), please indicate if you are only available on certain dates, and we'd be happy to have your help.
Volunteers report to the Oakland Center, 312 Meadow Brook Rd, Rochester, MI. Park in Lot 2 (between North Foundation Hall and Wilson Hall - there are orange flags indicating where to turn), and come in the door closest to the loading docks. There will be a sign on the door with a phone number to call for the site lead to let you into the building. Please bring a sweatshirt or jacket, as the temperature in the building varies. Masks and gloves are provided.
