Title: Hands-On Soldering Workshop, In accordance with IPC J-STD 001, IPC-610 and IPC-7711
Abstract: 3 Modules; Module 1 Basics of soldering covers solder, flux, solder pastes, reflow temperatures, rheology, component ID, ESD, MSL, solder tip care and familiarization with J-STD-001. Module 2 SMT / TH soldering and Assembly covers surface mount soldering, through hole soldering, and familiarization with IPC-7711 / IPC-7721 rework standards. Module 3 Inspection covers inspection to class 1, class 2, class 3 and familiarization to IPC-610 acceptability of electronic assemblies.
Course Instructor: Angel Deluna
Bio: Angel Deluna is an IPC Master Instructor with Circuit Technology Inc., a North Carolina Corporation founded in 1994 with annual sales of about $6 million and 8 employees. CTI has two primary business units, training for electronic industry standards (primarily IPC standards) and sales of equipment for electronic assembly. CTI trains about 800 people annually both in the US and internationally at their training centers in NC, MD, FL and Costa Rica as well as at customer’s facilities. Angel has 30 years of experience is the electronics industry in various capacities. The last 10 years he has been training all over the world as an IPC Master Instructor.
