Congregation Hakafa
An oneg, hosted by members of the congregation, follows services every Friday night throughout the year. Hosting a Friday evening Oneg Shabbat is a wonderful way to honor the memory of a loved one on his/her yahrzeit or to celebrate a b’nai mitzvah, birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion with the congregation.
Volunteers are needed to host our weekly oneg.
This summer, we will be holding our Friday Evening Kabbalat Shabbat Services outdoors/in-person AND via Zoom or Facebook Live. Our service on the last Friday of each month will continue to be held via Zoom only.
Our outdoor locations all have restrooms available. And, should the weather be bad, we will move the service indoors at the North Shore United Methodist Church or under the shelter at Crow Island Woods Park, depending on our location that week.
Please note that everyone age 5 and older must be fully up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccination to host an in-person oneg or attend in-person (1 dose of J&J or 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna and 1 booster).
