We are bringing back onegs after services, but we need your help! Most weeks will be just cookies or something else small, but once per month we'll have a nicer oneg with more lunch foods.
Most weeks, it'll be very simple: Saturday morning, we will be doing Kiddush from the bimah, and motzi in the oneg area. So all you need to do is set out cups and juice, along with the challah and the prepackaged snacks, and then put them away again after Kiddush is over.
Once per month, there are three ways you can volunteer:
- Friday morning (1 person): Pick up platters of food, and bring them to Kol Shalom. We can work with you based on whether you prefer to go to Rockville or Pikesville.
- Saturday morning setup (2 people): During the service, around 10:30, go into the kitchen to start preparing food - mostly unwrapping platters. Set up food, plates, silverware, drinks, and cups on a table in the oneg area. Pour the wine and juice, and bring that out with the challah.
- Saturday morning cleanup (2 people): After lunch, clean up the lunch area, and bring food into the kitchen to package any leftovers. Wash, dry, and put away any dishes. (Note that this last part should be pretty minimal.)
