Parent Presentation

IRL - Parenting Supports and Strategies in the Age of Technology

Next up in the Walker PTO Parents’ Discussion series, join us for a presentation by District 181 Technology Support Group’s Randy Wooten.

Prompted by a recent 60 minutes before the holiday season, view it here :, we have asked Randy to speak on technology, how to manage and control it in the house, and his own personal experiences with his kids’ tech.  This is a topic at the forefront of all of our minds: how technology is affecting our children and the battle tech wages in our households and childrens’ minds.

In the CBS link, you will hear from Dr. Jean Twenge (, you may remember her from the D181 Foundation presentation earlier in the year featuring her latest book - iGen: Why Today's Super-Connected Kids Are Growing Up Less Rebellious, More Tolerant, Less Happy--and Completely Unprepared for Adulthood--and What That Means for the Rest of Us.
