'Tis the season for cooking up something fun and yummy treats for the holidays!
Join ADHD Coach Diane McLean and her lovable lab, Digby, for some holiday baking, along with some executive skill tips. Using some strategies for planning, organization, and time management, we will make an assortment of cookies to share with friends (or eat yourself!), and we will also make some dog treats for your favorite canine, too! Join us for some holiday fun!
This meeting is designed for middle and high school students. Younger children are invited as long as they are not disruptive. Parents are welcome to stay, but it is not required that they do so.
What to expect: We will be using the kitchen to make food to learn organizational skills. We will be making holiday cookies and dog treats.
The cookies will all be made from cake mixes with other ingredients added. They have gluten, eggs, and butter. There are no nuts, but there may be cross contamination.
The dog treats have rice flour, ground flax seed, bananas, and peanut butter but we can use Sun Butter if there are allergy concerns. As mentioned above, her therapy dog, Digby, will also be around.
Please email [email protected] if there are any allergy concerns!
Can't make it but interested? While there is benefit to coming to the meeting to get to know the group, participating in the meet & greet activities, and being a part of the interactive meeting, we know not everyone can make it. Our meetings will be recorded (barring technical difficulties) and published on the Member's Only page on our website. If you are not yet a member, please fill out a membership agreement if you would like this access. Membership is open to middle and high school students and their parents. Young adults with ADHD might also benefit and are welcome. It's free!
