Donate Cleaning Supplies for the Newly Re-Homed
Shelter House, Inc's mission is to prevent and end homelessness and domestic violence by engaging the community, building effective relationships and providing crisis intervention, safe housing and supportive services. Katherine Hanley Family Shelter in Fairfax is one of three Shelter House emergency shelters located in our area. All three shelters utilize a Rapid Rehousing approach, which is the provision of housing location support, rental assistance, and intensive case management services to help those experiencing homelessness return to housing as quickly as possible.
What are we providing?
The Kate Hanley shelter has asked for cleaning supplies to assist clients as they move to transitional or permanent housing. The list of needed items is below. Please sign up ASAP below for items you can bring, so we will know that our commitments are covered.
When & how can I drop off cleaning supplies?
Cleaning supplies can be dropped off:
- Sunday 2/21, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Tuesday 2/23, Wednesday 2/24, and Thursday, 2/25 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Tuesday 2/23 and Wednesday 2/24, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
PLEASE NOTE: When you come by to drop off cleaning supplies (outdoors in designated bins), you can also pick up your Shalach Manot, and some of the times you can also pick up any Sunflower Bakery orders and visit the Schmaltz Brothers Food Truck. To keep everyone safe and avoid waiting, we would appreciate your signing up for a time slot to accomplish one or more of these drop-offs and pickups. (Not mandatory, just VERY helpful!)
