VietFest 2022 Volunteer Signup

Thank you for signing up to become a volunteer of VietFest 2022! We are so excited to be coming back as a community. VietFest will be held this year at the Tysons Corner from Saturday, August 20 to Sunday, August 21.

*WE WILL BE HAVING OUR VOLUNTEER ORIENTATIONS / TRAININGS / MEETINGS ON: TBD

TBD: General Interest Meeting 

As volunteers, you will be provided with: 

• A free VietFest 2022 t-shirt

• Free access to the NOVAL-DC tent

• Free food voucher to use at Vietfest, food snacks, and refreshments for the day(s) you volunteer 

• Opportunity to attend the VietFest 2022 appreciation party

We are currently looking for volunteers in these categories:

• Set-up – Set up tents, tables, lightings, posters, etc.

• Break-down / Clean-up – Takedown tables, lightings, decorations etc.

• Decorations – Decorate festival site, stage, etc.

• Information Booth – Direct guests and volunteers, provide information about NOVAL, etc. 

• Competition / Eating Contests – Help with promoting and signing people up for competitions, assist in the competition through timing. 

• Normal Operations / Crowd Control – Security, traffic, maintenance, miscellaneous, etc.

• Cotton Candy / Popcorn – Help make & sell cotton candy & popcorn.

In the event that you sign up for a category and we do not need that amount of volunteers in a section for that shift, you may be asked to help out in another category.

**In the comment section of your sign-up, please list your t-shirt size, so we will be able to give you a t-shirt, as well as order the appropriate amount of t-shirts per size.

You will also be asked to attend a training session before VietFest. It is recommended that you attend, so you can familiarize yourself with what is expected of a volunteer the day of, meet those who are in charge of the festival, as well as meet some people that will be volunteering with you. An email will be sent to you soon with dates of training sessions. IT IS ALSO STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU WEAR A FACE MASK THAT COVERS YOUR CHIN, MOUTH, AND NOSE AT ALL TIMES WHILE VOLUNTEERING AT VIETFEST DUE TO COVID-19.
